Dear Sergey,

It’s the 3rd of June, 2021, Thursday, a sunny day. And this is a blast from the past.

You know, last year you were quite concise, judging by your blog. I wonder if you still are. I actually have no idea what to write about. I hope 2 “big” things happened in your life. At first, I hope you’re doing well, you’re healthy, cuz being sick sucks, you know that, I surely know that, so yeah. And secondly, I hope you stepped up your English enough to start tutoring and earn at least some money.

A few words…

Hello, everyone. I finished reading “The Fault In Our Stars” by John Green, and today I’ll share some new words with you.

To beget [bɪ’gɛt] — порождать

Vastly [ˈvæstli] — значительно

Expectant [ɪkˈspɛktənt] — в ожидании/затаив дыхание

To extol [ɪkˈstoʊl] — восхвалять

That was all I had today for you. Thank you for reading. Stay tuned ;)

Hello, everyone. Today I will share some new words from “The Fault In Our Starts”, and tell you about nature in the book.

There are very few descriptions of nature or even environment in the book. However, there is one episode of describing Amsterdam:

“There were elm trees everywhere along the canals, and these seeds were blowing out of them. But they didn’t look like seeds. They looked for all the world like miniaturized rose petals drained of their color. These pale petals were gathering in the wind like flocking birds — thousands of them, like a spring snowstorm…

Hello, everyone. In this one I want to share my thoughts after watching “The Devil Wears Prada”.

1) Describe Andy Sachs before she got the job at Runway (appearance, manners, hobbies, relationships) in as much detail as possible.

Andy was not used to put on that much make-up. Comparing to her new style, it actually looks like she didn’t put on any make-up at all. Her clothes were way more casual, of course, not that fancy. It seems like she was trying very hard to find and buy things that didn’t fit the times she lives in. I mean, all…

Hello, everyone. In this one I want share with you my story with idioms and phrases, which I’ve learnt recently.

I will tell you about Garvey, and how we met. He joined our group when we were in 11th grade. It was the end of April, when he decided to change the school. At that time Garvey came off as an oddball. It was the last term of our school studying, there were only exams ahead. But I was too prejudiced, too close-minded.
For him and I personally it took a while to get to know each other, but since he…

Hello, everyone. I’ve just complited the Myer-Briggs Personality Type Test, and my type is INTJ.
The description of it says that people, who have such type of personality, tend to have an original habit of mind, and a lot of energy for things they’re versed in. In spheres of their activity they can easily organize work with or without any help. As a rule they’re skeptical, critical, independent, though stubborn sometimes. They have to wait and learn how to lose the battle to win the war.

The description is actually quite accurate. I can definitely say such things about myself.

Complete the test yourself and find out about your type.

That was all I had today for you. Thank you for reading. Stay tuned ;)

Hello, everyone. Today I want to share with you my sound, my atmosphere that I created, using The Ambient Mixer. It’s a great tool, which allows you to create any environment you want around you. It’s like an endless radio of your own.

Let me know what you think about it.

Stay tuned ;)

Hello, everyone. Today I will share some new words with you from “The Fault In Our Stars” by John Green. And also, I will ask Hazel some questions. She, obviously, can’t answer them, but if you have any thoughts, feel free to share them :)

Here are the words:

  1. A layperson [ˈleɪpɚsən] — обыватель/непрофессионал
  2. Jet lag [ˈdʒɛt læɡ] — смена часовых поясов
  3. To cuddle [ˈkədəl] — прижаться/нежно обнять
  4. Intimately [ˈɪnt̬əmətli] — тесно (знаком, связан)

And my questions:

Hazel, if you had a chance to write a sequel for the AIA, would you write it, or would you prefer Peter Van…

Hello, everyone. Today I will try to describe my happy place to you. It’s very cliched but anyway, welcome.

You are looking at the sea.

Few things are in your field of view.

Turquoise waves mixed with the sea foam hit the coast, making quite, rhythmical murmur.

The smell of wet sand is in the air.

The sky above the sea is painted in a pale pink-orange gradient.

The sun hides behind fluffy clouds, and its rays break through them.

A small black spot appears on the sun. It is moving from the hills on the right side to the…
