Oct 9IR vocabularyRight now I’m reading One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and here are a few new words I’ve stumbled upon: 1.Cagey — not wanting to give somebody information— скрытный. You were cagey about where you were going. 2. To sight — to suddenly see something, especially something you have been looking for — заметить/увидеть. I’ll be first to sight the The Loch ness monster. 3. Apt — suitable or appropriate in the circumstances — уместный/подходящий. His joke was an apt one. 4. A hassle — a situation that is annoying because it involves doing something difficult or complicated that needs a lot of effort — морока/преграда. The school project turned out to be a huge hassle. 5. To concede — to admit that something is true, logical, etc. after first denying it or resisting it — признавать/допустить.
