A Letter To Myself

Dear Sergey,

It’s the 3rd of June, 2021, Thursday, a sunny day. And this is a blast from the past.

You know, last year you were quite concise, judging by your blog. I wonder if you still are. I actually have no idea what to write about. I hope 2 “big” things happened in your life. At first, I hope you’re doing well, you’re healthy, cuz being sick sucks, you know that, I surely know that, so yeah. And secondly, I hope you stepped up your English enough to start tutoring and earn at least some money.

A few words about the uni. It’s the end of the academic year and I still can’t fully realize how lucky I am. It’s not just about the fact that I study there, it’s about everything connected to it: people, events, atmosphere, even the road to the uni, I’m lucky with this (it’s important!), and some other small things. So, you better appreciate all this, everyone and everything you have, or I’ll beat your ass. Somehow. I’ll find a way.

The amount of new things I’ve learn is too big to list. I think the most important and difficult at the same time was phonetics. Each time when we had, like, these quizzes, when were suppposed to read a list of words near the board, there was always one word, which I mispronounced and due to it memorized how to pronounce it correctly forever. It was fun.

I’m sure you miss Ms. B’s classes, but hey, you’ll meet again in the 4th year. And I hope you have classes with Ms. Kate, I just don’t know yet if we’ll have them, it’s complicated. It’s kind of funny. I got so attached and used to Ms. Kate and Ms. B. that I think you’re having a hard time working with new teachers. Hope you’re not, of course.

I know you’ll have fun reading it. And it’s probably going to happen right this day next year, and you’ll have to take exams, so, good luck to you and all that.

You know my attitude to predicting things, so, I just hope you’re doing fine more or less. And you’re probably tired. So, relax for 5 mins, but then get back to work, ok?

Best wishes,

Me
