Summary of the last two weeks

Hello, everyone! Today I want to tell you about victories, discoveries, challenges, and just some things that had happened in my life recently.

Reported speech: a discovery, a challenge, and a victory all of them are here. In the begining of the March I discovered, to my regret, that I had absolutely forgotten how to transform direct speech into reported speech. This topic just had faded away from my head. Kind of a challenge for me was to remember the rules and to learn how to use them on practice again. And, a victory, I know how to do it now :)

Articles’ve become easier, but still, I need some more time.

I do enjoy the book we read “Where Russians Go Wrong in Spoken English”. Very subtle aspects are brought up in it. Some things may seem strange, or funny, or even ridiculous, but it’s just a difference in cultures.

I also learned many things about baseball such as rules, roles, idioms, and famous songs like “Take me Out to the Ball Game”, and “Ballad of a Ballgame”, which is really long. So, now I know things.

The last Wednesday we had our first seminar in World Literature. It will definitely need attention, because our teacher, Sergey Matvevich, gave us the list of books, which we are going to read. And they are long. I’ve already read “The Song of Roland”, and I actually liked it. It took a while, but I love the language of the the book, phrases, they create a good picture of events, very visual. We will see how it goes.

I guess, that’s all. Nothing much, but I should really say that the last week was exhausting. I felt it.
